Good Burger 2: The Story of Dexter Reed Revisited (with Anomalous Sounding Oscillations)
The original Good Burger premiered in 1997 as a spinoff of the Good Burger sketch in All That, the Nickelodeon comedy series both Thompson and Mitchell starred in. Judging by the film’s description, it doesn’t look like anyone else in the original cast, such as Linda Cardellini or Sinbad, is returning for the sequel.
“Ed is one of those timeless characters that has brought so much joy and laughter to fans, and it’s such a beautiful blessing to still be doing it after all these years,” he said. “It’s super awesome to come back and continue the stories of Dex, Ed and Good Burger for both the people who grew up watching and their kids.”
I am excited that the original Good Burger and All That will be back in some form. I am undecided whether or not to sign up for Paramount Plus since the service is raising its prices, but I will wait for the first trailer until I make my decision.
The show starts with Thompson greeting the host before Mitchell is in a scene as Ed. It causes the host to get in on the fun with a costume and then they let the audience know about Good Burger 2.
The plot from the new film involves Dexter Reed “down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails,” according to a press release for the project.
He said being part of something so many generations of people have come to love has made him so proud, and now to be back where it all began working on the sequel is unbelievable. “Love performing with my brother Kel and can’t wait to show the fans what these characters have been up to since we last saw them.”
